"Valencia Kiki Sheard (born June 20, 1987) is an American gospel recording artist. She is the daughter of gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard (member of gospel singing group The Clark Sisters) and the granddaughter of gospel choral director Mattie Moss Clark made her professional stage debut at the age of 10 performing on two tracks on her mother's debut solo album Finally Karen in 1997. One of those songs was "The Will Of God", penned by Evangelist Richard "Mr. Clean" White as the standout closing track. The song won a Stellar Award for Best Children's Performance the following year. In the years following, she honed and matured her skills as a performer and vocalist. Kierra started singing as a background vocalist for her mother, her aunt Dorinda Clark-Cole, and The Clark Sisters. In 2002, Kierra was featured on her aunt Dorinda's self-titled debut album. The following year, she performed two tracks again on her mothers' third album, The Heavens Are Telling. On The Heavens Are Telling, she was featured with her mother on a popular cover of Jill Scott's He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat). In 2003, EMI Gospel won a bidding war between several record companies to sign Kierra to her first recording contract Her debut album I Owe You was released on September 7, 2004. The 11-track set included production and songwriting from such notable music luminaries as Rodney Jerkins, Warryn Campbell, Erica and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary, J Moss, and Tonéx. The album also functioned as the production debut for her brother J Drew.
The following year, EMI commissioned a collection of remixes entitled Just Until... on August 2, 2005. The title of the stopgap release was abbreviated from its working title "Just Until The Next Record". The album had a surprise international hit in The Godson Concept remix of "Let Go". The upbeat gospel single, released only in Japan, raced to the top of mainstream R&B charts and remained there for several weeks. Shortly after graduating high school, Sheard readied her second album This Is Me. It debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart when it was released June 27, 2006. A midtempo fan favorite, the Fred Jerkins III-produced "Why Me?" was chosen as the lead single for the album. Sheard shot her first music videos for two subsequent singles from the album, "Yes" and "This Is Me". The album was Grammy Award-nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album in December 2006.
In addition to performing at the 2007 Stellar Awards ("Why Me?"), Sheard appeared on BET's Celebration of Gospel standing in for pregnant Faith Evans in "Endow Me" (as popularized by Sheard's aunts) along with Coko, Lil' Mo, and Fantasia. Sheard also sang with her mother for A Tribute to Aretha Franklin.In October 2008, Sheard released her third album, Bold Right Life. The album spawned the two lead singles "Praise Him Now" and "Won't Hold Back".[6][7] Sheard was also featured on what would be the biggest single of her career to date, "God In Me", from Mary Mary's The Sound album.
In January 2009, Sheard appeared at the BMI Trailblazers performing "Jesus Is a Love Song" as a salute to her aunt, Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark.

Last night (Feb. 22), So So Def’s head honcho Jermaine Dupri took over Atlanta’s Fox Theater to celebrate the record label’s 20th anniversary. Among the A-list celebrities–all So So Def collaborators, cloLse pals and alumni–to touch the stage and be apart of this historic night were pop queen Mariah Carey, Da Brat, Monica, Latocha and Tamika of Xscape and rising singer Dondria.
The ladies were sprinkled on the bill with guy music pals Jay-Z, Nelly, Bow Wow, Bonecrusher, Young Jeezy and so many more. Actress Tika Sumpterwas even spotted in the heavy-hitting musical mix.

Shawntae Harris (born April 14, 1974), better known by her stage name Da Brat, is an American rapper and actress. Her debut album, Funkdafied, sold one million copies, making her the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album.
Regarding her soon-to-be rap name, Harris told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she got the name because she is "a spoiled only child."[1] Harris is the younger half-sister of actress LisaRaye McCoy.
In 1992, Harris got a big break when she won the grand prize in a local rap contest sponsored by Yo! MTV Raps. For the prize, she got to meet Kris Kross, and they in turn introduced her to their producer, Jermaine Dupri, who signed her to his So So Def label. Dupri cultivated Da Brat's image as a "female Snoop Doggy Dogg", and she became one of the first female "reality-based" rappers.[1]
Da Brat's debut album Funkdafied was released in 1994 and entered the rap albums chart at Number #1. The album went platinum, which made her the first female solo rapper to sell one million units. The single also entitled "Funkdafied" reached #1 on the rap singles chart and #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. She had a follow-up hit from the same album, "Give It 2 You", which reached #26 on the Hot 100.
In 1996, Da Brat released her second full-length album, Anuthatantrum, which included the single "Ghetto Love" featuring T-Boz of TLC.
During the rest of the '90s, Da Brat came to be known more for her "featured" appearances on other rappers' and R&B singers' albums rather than for her own solo work. She contributed a rhyme to the hip hop remix of Mariah Carey's hit, "Always Be My Baby". She also made her feature film debut that year in Kazaam with Shaquille O'Neal. During the summer of 1997, Da Brat appeared along with Dupri on a remix of Carey's "Honey (So So Def mix)" and recorded the hit remix of "Ladies' Night (Not Tonight)" with Lil' Kim, Left-Eye of TLC,Angie Martinez and Missy Elliott. Da Brat was also featured with Kris Kross on their track "Da Bomb" on the album Da Bomb, as well as on their third album Young, Rich and Dangerous.
In 1997, she was featured on "Sock It 2 Me", a track on Missy Elliott's debut album, Supa Dupa Fly. In 1999, she appeared, alongsideKrayzie Bone, on the remix to Mariah Carey's cover of Brenda K. Starr's "I Still Believe". She also appeared as a guest artist with Elliott on Carey's remix of "Heartbreaker", and on the remix of Brandy's "U Don't Know Me (Like U Used To)". That year, she was also featured on a remix of the Destiny's Child single "Jumpin', Jumpin'".]
In early 2000, Da Brat released her third full-length album Unrestricted, which produced the moderately successful singles "That's What I'm Looking For" (U.S. #56) and "What Chu Like" (U.S. #26), featuring soul singer, Tyrese. The album was not well received compared to Brat's earlier work. However, the new album and new millennium did inspire an image makeover for Da Brat. Abandoning her "gangsta" persona, she decided to follow the trend in popular music and attempted to add to her sex appeal.
In 2001, Brat continued her trend of being featured on other artist's remixes, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles chart along with rapper Ludacris on the main remix of Mariah Carey's "Loverboy" and being featured artist on Destiny's Child's "Survivor" remix. Da Brat also appeared as Louise in Carey's 2001 movie Glitter. In 2003, Brat released her fourth album, titled Limelite, Luv & Niteclubz, and appeared on the 4th season of VH1's The Surreal Life.
In 2005, she made a comeback of sorts when she was featured on the remix to the song "I Think They Like Me," by Dem Franchize Boyz, which also featured Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri. The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles chart and #15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2006, she was an onstage guest on Mariah Carey's The Adventures of Mimi Tour in Atlanta, New York City, Long Island, Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles performing her rap verses on the "Heartbreaker" and "Honey" remixes. She was also featured on Kelly Rowland's "Gotsta Go", a bonus track from her 2007 album Ms. Kelly and is also featured on a bonus track from Carey's E=MC² on a track entitled "4real4real". She also co-wrote a song with Mariah Carey called "O.O.C." which appears on E=MC² and contributes backing vocals on the track. In 2007, she participated in the fifth season of the VH1 reality series Celebrity Fit Club.

The Presidential Inauguration was represented and millions around the world tuned in to watch asthe President Was sworn in and gave a speech that many will not be able to dissect but it was clear to me as he spoke he made it clear that it" a difficult position he is in and said no one person cand make that big of a difference and he needs for things to be done together. I can see why the speech was catered towards the house and all the drama that we can not see behind closed doors. I understand that it's hard to overe throw a group of people we know nothing about . We don't know what it " s like to do his job. You got the Enemy over your shoulder looking out for his best interest and you have to look out for a group of people who clearly do not matter to most of the people in congress. Although we break our back and are the heart and soul of this whole country yet we are the least to be considered. Women have nursed every man in this world to health at one time or another yet with all our talents and ability to adjust to any task given us we are not yet paid equal we may not possess some of the quality's that do but yet we make up for it with other gifts such as child birth and child care we are protesters and organizers and builders and inventors, we motivate and create the birth of new this. If you take away the chance for us to pursue a fair education fair pay we are second class citizens. Now some things such as working together seems to be the mentality amount selfish people who want to be on top and really do care about the world the are investors and big company " s who run the world families ancestors of old hidden in the mist of these people. As the priest prayed he spoke about the division in the white house and he prayed for specifics races and Colors tend he prayed for prejudices and I believe they are right in the white house. I believe there are some clicks that are giving the president hell just because the want their way he can't just out and say it I believe he is trying to let us know he does not have all the authority we think he does because on any occasion congress will over throw him. One thing I know is it's hard to write a speech and not include what your going through but I believe he is concerned he won't be able to get the things done he needs like arguing about Medicare. Who would not want medicare.the people who have everything that's who but the common person they could not afford a doctor so the let the cut heal on it's own and it gets infected and leaves a ugly scar everyone is afraid. of . or a person who has an ongoing illness with no way to get care because their HMO ran out , who does that type of thinking? someone without a care in the world, unless they have experienced poverty they would never know. I pray they will open their eyes.that they will somehow retract this move And stop being so greedy. and allow the people to speak through their president who won the election on the issues that were important to the people of this nation and he should be allowed to carry them out with out interference unless it is to improve his plan work with him and not against him. He has spoken so many times and sake the same thing so I know somebody is blocking the president and as the priest prayed my suspicions were confirmed.
I understand congress can pass a bill without his consent but why is everybody so bull headed to the point it will affect our children. iy does not effect theirs because the are all in private schools that the pay a pretty penny for more than a poor person can afford to spend at a doctor.I Love my president and support him 100 percent and i realize he does not have the power to chance everything but i want to be the first to say i appreciate all that he does for the nation and our children, he has shown love to the black community like no other president ever has even gone to a poor black girls funeral or supported an individuals right to choose their way of life, I don't have to agree with any of his decisions I can state my point and still support him let me help you work out the kinks to that plan maybe incorporate some of mine where needed and lets get our country straight and stop the pissing contest and leadership tantrums this is not about you this is about the people and the nations well being and no one person can know it all,
I noticed the looks going between some of the party involved and were in close proximity I could tell who wanted to be bothered with who. How ever the president and Michelle seemed to block out all the negativity
and and treat each other with such love and compassion. what a beautiful occasion.
