History In The Making

BLACKPLATINUM 317 RECORD LABEL

Have you heard the latest rumor that is circulating around Atlanta? Well if you haven’t, take heed to the information that I am about to release to the world. There has been talk that Atlanta will soon be the new home for the most highly anticipated record label Black Platinum 317.
Founded by Ms. Gail AnR Smiley & Ms. QuWanda Diamond Princess McCoy of Atlanta, Georgia, these two ladies decided to put together their knowledgeable aspects of the music industry to bring forth a record label which is titled Black Platinum 317 Records. Ms. Smiley whom is a Atlantic, Grand Hustle, & Gospel Centric affiliate is not new to the industry, she has worked with numerous artists such as Kirk Franklin, Donnie Mcclurkin, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Sapp, Boyz To Men, Lil Boosie to the Zero T Boyz, Marvelous Prince, Baby Doll, Big Sam of Lil John & The East Side Boyz, Ms. Smiley was also a broadcasting major for Howard Rawlins and many more, so I can assure you that getting the connects that she needs will not be an issue.

Then you have Ms. McCoy, born a Georgia peach
and grew up on the Westside of Atlanta where she is also not a stranger to the music industry. Ms. McCoy has affiliated herself with a substantial amount of artist herself. She has affiliation with Buck Summer Hill, D.J. Hershey, Akini the Black Mac, Tanya Clackum, Kilo Ali, D.J. Black, Voodoo Ali, D.J. Jelly, Big Oomp alone with the Oomp Camp, Lil Mark & J Man {City Boyz}, Shawty Lo, Mook B {D4L}, Rico Wade, Cee Lo, Ying Yang Twins, Big Duke {Boyz N Da Hood} Baby D, Young Snead and many many more. Ms. McCoy also had her time collaborating with one of the first underground hardcore rap group The Hard Boyz, which she continues to keep close contact with. To add a little flavor to this story, can you guess who is the brother of Ms. McCoy? Let’s just say, he is one of the most talked about, controversial hip hop rap artist today.

Black Platinum 317 Records will be searching for talent and holding show cases all over the state of Georgia, with that being said, they have also brought in a highly qualified associate to become their third partner and the President of their label, which happen to be Big Duke of Boyz N Da Hood. Big Duke has a lot to bring to this label, and he is very knowledgeable of the music industry, with street creditability. They are also working with Young Snead, Young Joc, Big Gee, and many more. This label is set to drop in June 2011, alone with some special surprises. Black Platinum 317 Records is having their share of being in the spot light, this label is being talked about through face book, twitter, my space, yahoo, and you tube, last but not least, word of mouth. I have this feeling that these two ladies and with Big Duke will make history for Atlanta, Georgia.
